Camarines Sur – Trace College became the last team standing in the PCC National Collegiate Championship 3×3 Southern Luzon Leg after blasting the University of Nueva Careces in their home floor, 51-45, at the UNC Sports Palace.

​Renz Cortez, Aaron Carullo, Elison Honra, Gerald De Ada and Julius Herradula of Trace College went undefeated and going past 9 other teams from different parts of the Bicol region to face UNC in the Finals.

Cortez was the top gunner for Trace College with 21 points, 5 rebounds and a block while Aaron Carullo added 15 points and 5 rebounds.

​UNC’s Joshua Villamor had carried the load with 33 points and 8 rebounds as his team falter to Trace’s teamwork.

Computer Communication Development Institute went undefeated in the elimination round finished at third place after falling to the warpath of Trace College in the Semi-Finals.

Other teams that competed in the Southern Luzon leg were University of Perpetual Help – Molino, STI College Sta. Rosa, Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology, University of Perpetual Help –Binan, Naga College Foundation,  Naga College Foundation – High School and Mariners Polytechnic College Foundation.

​With the championship victory, Trace College earns the right to represent the Southern Luzon region in the National Grand Finals in  February 2018 to be held in Manila.
