Stags main man Michael Calisaan paved the way for his squad with a double-double, scoring 21 points and collecting 12 rebounds. SSC-R got valuable contributions from bench players Jayson Well David and Lorenzo Navarro, who contributed 12 and 10 markers respectively.
UP rising star Paul Desiderio was the leading scorer for his squad with 23 points on 53% shooting from the field. The Fighting Maroons, who have been on a steady climb in their league, will fall just short in the PCCL NCR Qualifiers by splitting their assignments for a 1-1 win-loss record.
With a clean 2-0 slate in Group B, the Stags have punched their ticket to the championship game against fellow undefeated Colegio de San Lorenzo Griffins from Group A.
