The Philippine Collegiate Champions League Elite Eight is off to an exciting start as the Holy Trinity College Wildcats defeated the De La Salle University Green Archers 75-69 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

It was a total team effort for the General Santos City-based squad when their bench managed to outscore the UAAP runner-up by a wide margin, 51-13.

The Green Archers, who were playing without their key players, struggled finding the hole with a 34% clip from the field. Even worse was their touch from three-point distance, only going 3-for-23 (13%).

HTC main man Joseph Diamante led the charge with 21 points and six rebounds across his name. Leomark Salas contributed 20 and 7 for the Wildcats’ winning cause.
