With the help of a 31-13 scoring blast in the second quarter, the San Sebastian Stags coasted to an easy victory over the De La Salle Green Archers, 96-65, in the ongoing Philippine Collegiate Champions League Elite Eight Tournament at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Baste had their way inside the paint, dominating their counterparts by a staggering 56-22 point differential from down low. San Sebastian also outmuscled DLSU for extra possessions, as the former had a +10 advantage on the rebounding category.

San Sebastian had the better ball movement as well, tallying 30 assists compared to La Salle’s 9.

Five players scored double figures for the Stags, led by Ran Paule Costelo’s 13 to go along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

On the other hand, Mark Alcala had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists across his name for the Green Archers, who are still winless in Group B action of the Elite Eight.

San Sebastian improves to 1-1 with the win, tied for second place with Holy Trinity College.
